Key tasks would encompass:
- Grass and hedge cutting, weeding, and composting garden clippings
- Liaising with Group Lead Volunteer on hut maintenance days (approx. bimonthly currently) and allocating outdoor tasks to parent helpers
- Triaging and recommending on works to be completed in the grounds (i.e., you will not have to do everything, but identify key priorities)
A background in Scouting not required. DBS check will be conducted. Gardening equipment would be provided. We have an emerging team of parent helpers willing to work outdoors.
Estimated time commitment of 2 days a month.
Would be perfect for volunteering to give back or a Duke of Edinburgh placement.
